Albany, NY Carousel Restoration Part 2

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | ePostCards

The Albany carousel is going great. Rosa Ragan has finished the original paint documentation and the restoration of the animals has begun. Brass Ring Entertainment wants to thank the Carousel Museum in North Tonawanda NY for their help in finding original designs of the carousel frame.

Look at the following photos that show the most recent progress. Brass Ring has brought in George Herczak (see photo below, top row number 4) to spear head the project. George is a lifelong wood specialist. We are proud to have George’s years of experience behind the project. After the animals have been stripped we have found POUNDS of nails in each animal. In one animal 32 nails in 2 ears alone. The new gears are being cut.

Check back often to watch the progress as it happens.
